I am a huge fan of the Lord Of The Rings books and the Peter Jackson movie adaptation's of the books which I believe are the gold standard of movie making. I have been meaning to paint a LOTR related portrait for quite sometime. What better character to start off with than the legendary Gandalf the grey who was portrayed so well by Sir Ian McKellen.
